ENOUGH: GEORGE FLOYD'S BIRACIAL COUSIN FINDS HER PLACE IN THE FIGHT FOR RACIAL JUSTICE​

SUMMARY. This is a multiplatform feature about George Floyd's biracial cousin, Shayla Zartman, on a journey to find her place in the world. Caught in the middle — never Black enough to be Black; never white enough to be white — some multiracial men and women live their whole lives without coming to terms with their identity. But Floyd’s killing would help Shayla discover hers.

ROLE. As a lead reporter and photojournalist on this project, Taylor wrote the digital narrative feature story, captured all still images, and shot video for a mini-documentary that aired in the Peabody-Award winning series, "Facing Race."​​​​​​​​

UNCUFFED: FORMER INMATE, COP FORM FRIENDSHIP AFTER ROCKY START​
SUMMARY. This piece follows a Washington state police officer and a former incarcerated woman for more than a year, documenting their unique friendship and the lessons learned from it. Officer Jenifer Eshom set out to teach a woman in prison how to live uncuffed. But the cop had her own lessons to learn.

ROLE. Taylor worked independently on this project as a reporter and photojournalist. She wrote the digital narrative, captured all still photos, shot/wrote/edited a digital mini-documentary and designed the online presentation of the story.

UNSHACKLED: A PROSTITUTE'S JOURNEY TO FREEDOM ​

SUMMARY. "Unshackled" tells the powerful story of Jennifer Tucker's battle to escape the grip of prostitution, marked by abuse, manipulation and the search for self-worth.​​

ROLE: Taylor worked on this project independently as a reporter and photojournalist. She wrote the digital narrative, captured all still photos, shot/wrote/edited a TV news package and hosted a live special dedicating to helping sex trafficking survivors find resources.
